How the link limit works differently
Bitly counts new links created per month. Once you create 5, you wait until next month. This penalises you even if most of those links are no longer active.
Linkonda counts links live at the same time. If you have 100 links and delete 10 old ones, you immediately have room for 10 new ones — no waiting, no monthly reset. This model rewards users who manage their links rather than punishing them for being prolific.
Why Linkonda doesn't track your visitors
Bitly's core business is analytics — tracking who clicks your links, from where, on what device. That data is valuable to marketers but creates compliance obligations under GDPR, PECR, and similar regulations: legal basis, consent banners, data subject requests.
Linkonda stores only an aggregate click count per link. No IP addresses, no device types, no referrers, no geo-data. If you share a link, the people clicking it are not profiled in any way. No consent banner needed on your end.
